Etihad Rail’s passenger service, which commenced operations a month ago between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, is already making significant strides in enhancing tourism, supporting local businesses, and improving regional connectivity within the UAE. The newly launched service has attracted considerable interest, evidenced by the high demand for tickets, with many trains operating at full capacity.
The service efficiently connects Abu Dhabi and Fujairah in less than two hours, facilitating easier travel between the two emirates. This development has had a noticeable impact on local businesses, with car rental agencies near Abu Dhabi’s Mohamed bin Zayed City Station experiencing a surge in customer inquiries.
