The United Arab Emirates has taken a significant step in humanitarian assistance by delivering 980 tonnes of aid to Gaza. This substantial support, transported through 62 aid trucks, comprises essential items such as food, medical supplies, and shelter materials aimed at helping civilians who are bearing the brunt of the ongoing conflict.
This relief effort was meticulously organized at the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre situated in Al Arish, Egypt. It forms part of Operation Gallant Knight 3, which was initiated in October 2023. This operation has seen the UAE actively involved in providing multifaceted assistance through land, air, and sea routes.
Beyond the delivery of supplies, the UAE has also established medical facilities to cater to the urgent health needs of those affected. Furthermore, the operation has facilitated the evacuation of thousands of injured and critically ill patients, ensuring they receive necessary medical treatment.
The latest aid convoy underscores the UAE’s ongoing commitment to addressing the pressing humanitarian needs in Gaza. The country’s efforts reflect a broader strategy to alleviate suffering and provide essential support to impacted communities during this challenging period.
