Amidst growing unpredictability in global energy markets, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed has underscored the crucial role of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). During a meeting at ADNOC’s headquarters, Sheikh Khaled led discussions with the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, focusing on the company’s operational and financial performance. The talks also addressed strategies to ensure stable energy supplies in light of recent changes affecting maritime navigation in the region.

Sheikh Khaled emphasized the necessity for ADNOC to reinforce its status as an integrated energy entity, linking production, trading, and logistics. He highlighted the significance of operational flexibility and the company’s comprehensive capabilities in fulfilling customer demands. Furthermore, he received a briefing on ADNOC’s recently launched global liquefied natural gas (LNG) marketing and trading platform, which began operations in July. This platform is designed to achieve 47 million tonnes per annum of marketable LNG by 2030, expanding customer supply options and enhancing access to ADNOC’s expanding gas portfolio.

Prior to the meeting, Sheikh Khaled visited ADNOC’s emergency control centre and engaged with employees and business continuity teams. These teams play a pivotal role in ensuring safe and efficient operations during disruptions. This visit underscores the ongoing commitment to maintaining the company’s operational resilience.

The discussions concentrated on bolstering ADNOC’s preparedness to adapt to the evolving landscape of global energy conditions while ensuring the security and reliability of supplies to its customers. Sheikh Khaled’s directives are positioned to guide ADNOC as it navigates the complexities of the current energy market, ensuring it remains a key player in meeting global energy needs.
