UAE Weather Alert: Rain, Strong Winds, and Dust to Impact Visibility

by admin477351

Unsettled weather is set to affect the United Arab Emirates, with rain and strong winds expected on Wednesday. The country’s meteorological forecast indicates that inland and mountainous areas could witness wind speeds reaching up to 50 km/h, while temperatures may climb to a scorching 41°C in some regions. Blowing dust is also anticipated, potentially reducing visibility.

The conditions are expected to be fair to partly cloudy overall. However, convective clouds are likely to form over eastern areas, spreading toward some inland and western regions in the afternoon. These clouds could result in rainfall as low-pressure systems influence the region. Winds will predominantly shift from the southeast to northeast at speeds of 10–25 km/h, intensifying during cloud formation. Coastal areas might experience stronger winds of up to 35 km/h.

Temperatures are projected to vary, ranging from 35°C to 41°C inland, 34°C to 38°C along the coast, and 26°C to 32°C in mountainous areas. Meanwhile, humidity levels are expected to rise significantly overnight into Thursday morning, potentially reaching up to 90% in some parts. This increase in humidity might lead to mist or fog, particularly in coastal and inland locations.

Further unsettled weather is anticipated on Thursday, with clouds developing in the eastern and western regions of the UAE, bringing another possibility of rain. Winds could reach speeds of 40 km/h, accompanied by occasional blowing dust. As the week progresses, partly cloudy conditions are expected to persist on Friday, with a chance of afternoon rain in eastern areas. The humidity levels could once again result in fog or mist overnight and into the early hours of Saturday.

Looking ahead to the weekend, temperatures are expected to gradually decline. Saturday might see the development of convective clouds over eastern and northern areas, while Sunday is forecasted to remain mostly fair to partly cloudy. The humid conditions are likely to continue overnight into Monday morning, increasing the chances of fog or mist.

The forecast suggests that Wednesday and Thursday present the highest likelihood of rainfall, followed by more settled weather, cooler temperatures, and recurring risks of fog or mist over the weekend.
