Unsettled weather is expected to impact the United Arab Emirates with rain across several regions on Tuesday. Forecasters predict strong winds and blowing dust, coinciding with inland temperatures potentially reaching 40°C. The weather conditions are linked to a surface low-pressure system accompanied by a weak upper-level low-pressure system.
The UAE’s weather is forecast to be fair to partly cloudy, with convective clouds forming over northern, eastern, and southern areas, increasing the likelihood of rainfall. Winds are anticipated to vary from light to moderate, potentially becoming fresh to strong, raising dust in affected areas. Inland wind speeds could reach up to 45 km/h, while mountainous regions might experience winds of up to 40 km/h.
Temperatures will vary across the country, ranging between 35°C and 40°C inland, 33°C and 37°C along coastal areas and islands, and 26°C to 32°C in mountainous areas. As humidity rises overnight into Wednesday morning, some coastal and inland areas may experience fog or mist, particularly in western regions.
The Arabian Gulf’s conditions are expected to range from slight to moderate, while the Oman Sea should remain slight. Forecasters warn that the unsettled weather pattern could persist through Saturday, with rain-bearing clouds likely to develop over northern and eastern areas on Wednesday and winds reaching up to 50 km/h. Further rainfall is possible in eastern and southern areas on Thursday, mainly in eastern regions on Friday, and across eastern and northern areas on Saturday.
Residents should prepare for potential disruptions caused by the weather, including reduced visibility due to blowing dust and fog. Travelers are advised to stay informed about weather updates and exercise caution on the roads as conditions may change rapidly.
