The recent state visit of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Germany underscores the strengthening of the strategic partnership that has developed between the two nations over several decades. The collaboration between the two countries has also extended into the energy sector, with joint efforts in renewable energy, climate action, decarbonisation, and energy security. This cooperative spirit was further strengthened in 2022 when the UAE and Germany signed an agreement to bolster energy security and industrial collaboration. This agreement includes UAE liquefied natural gas supplies to Germany and joint initiatives focused on clean energy and climate change.
