Major General Mohammed Salah Abu Kresha, Secretary-General of Egypt’s Dakahlia Governorate, tragically suffered a fatal heart attack while performing Eid Al Fitr prayers in Mansoura on Monday morning.
The senior official collapsed mid-prayer and was immediately rushed to Mansoura International Hospital, but despite medical efforts, he could not be saved.
In the wake of his passing, Dakahlia Governor Major General Tarek Marzouk announced the cancellation of all Eid celebrations across the governorate, honoring Abu Kresha’s legacy with a period of mourning.
A widely respected figure known for his unwavering commitment to public service, Abu Kresha’s death has left officials and residents in deep sorrow, with an outpouring of tributes commemorating his dedication and leadership.
