‘Wake Up Dead Man’: A Chess Match of Wits Between Blanc and a Killer

by admin477351

Prepare for a cinematic chess match of wits. The first teaser for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery sets up an epic battle between detective Benoit Blanc and a brilliant, unseen killer who has committed an “impossible crime.”

The opening move is a shocking one: the murder of a priest (Josh Brolin) during a public Mass. This places every character on the board, with Daniel Craig’s Blanc having to anticipate his opponent’s next move while navigating a group of pawns and players, including those portrayed by Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, and Mila Kunis.

The teaser suggests a highly intellectual and suspenseful film, where every clue is a strategic play and every lie is a calculated gambit. Blanc’s new, more thoughtful look, with longer hair and a sharp suit, emphasizes his role as the grandmaster of this deadly game.

After its premiere at TIFF, the game will soon be open to all. Wake Up Dead Man arrives in select theaters on November 26th, with its global Netflix release following on December 12th. Checkmate is coming.
