In a significant meeting held in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in discussions with Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Ruler of Fujairah. The talks underscored the UAE’s unwavering dedication to its citizens and to the progression of national development. Both leaders highlighted that Emirati citizens are pivotal to the UAE’s development strategy and crucial for realizing the country’s long-term goals. They also expressed their hopes for the continued security, prosperity, and advancement of the United Arab Emirates.
Sheikh Hamad was joined by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of Fujairah, during the discussions. Several high-ranking officials were in attendance, including Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and Sheikh Dr Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, alongside other ministers and government representatives.
The meeting forms part of the UAE leadership’s ongoing consultations aimed at evaluating national priorities, enhancing inter-emirate cooperation, and improving the quality of life for both citizens and residents. These regular discussions reflect the UAE’s strategic approach to governance, focusing on collaboration and development across its emirates.
President Sheikh Mohamed’s visit to Fujairah in April set a precedent for this meeting, during which both leaders toured Fujairah Port. They reviewed ongoing development projects and operational improvements at this crucial maritime hub for the UAE. This earlier engagement highlights the UAE’s commitment to enhancing its infrastructure and economic capabilities through continuous development efforts.
