The United Arab Emirates is bracing for a surge in summer temperatures, with forecasts predicting highs of up to 48°C in inland regions in the coming days. Meteorologists from the National Centre of Meteorology have indicated that the weather will largely remain stable throughout the country, characterized by clear skies, light to moderate winds, and minimal chances of significant weather changes.

As the weekend approaches, residents in inland areas should prepare for temperatures to fluctuate between 44°C and 48°C. Coastal and island locales are expected to experience slightly cooler conditions, with temperatures ranging from 36°C to 43°C, while mountainous regions may see readings between 32°C and 39°C. Winds will generally blow from the southwest to northwest at speeds of 10 to 20kph, potentially reaching 30kph at times, as sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman remain calm.

This pattern of hot and largely clear weather is anticipated to persist through the weekend. On Saturday morning, low clouds might form over sections of the eastern coastline, and winds could intensify, reaching speeds of up to 40kph. However, a slight dip in temperatures is projected for Sunday, coinciding with an increase in northwesterly wind activity. While the Arabian Gulf could experience occasional rough conditions, the Sea of Oman is expected to stay slight to moderate.

Looking ahead to Monday and Tuesday, the weather is likely to remain consistent with fair skies and sporadic morning clouds along the eastern coast. Periods of fresh winds are also anticipated, while sea conditions are predicted to gradually improve as the new week begins. These developments indicate that the UAE is entering its typical early-summer phase, distinguished by extremely hot daytime temperatures, clear skies, and stable atmospheric conditions.
